Well my day was rather exciting! I visited a cathedral ruin and castle in St Andrews, Scotland. I first visited the castle with my flatmate Chris. A very grand looking castle with great stories to back it. There was tunnel that was open to the public at their own risk. It was a crazy adventure underground that was originally quite scary. The tunnel height was waist high to begin with, and led to an iron ladder going down further to the ground. The tunnel continued! The thin narrow tunnel turned into a tall spacious corridor with steps carved out of stone. At the end was brick wall.. at this time we were very far underground and I got slightly freaked.

We then returned to ground level and I suggested that I would record Chris running up a really steep 20 foot high moat of the castle and then run down again with the hope he would fall down(Obviously I never mentioned that bit) and would be able to capture it on video on my mobile phone. He was successful. I then confidently followed his footsteps. On the way down at high speed I lost my footing and went crashing to the ground and rolled. I suggested previously that Chris could also record me. Luckily due to a technical problem I was not recorded. I’m bruised up!

We moved on to the cathedral where we climbed to the top of the tower. The steps seemed never ending..but the view is stunning. 360 degree view of the town of St Andrews. I have photos! But no idea how to post them here! Well that sums it up.. there were other things but I think I have been typing for too long now.

April 26th was a good day.

I had computer science and biology classes today, from 10PM to 1AM. We did more Java with CGI and handed in our projects for the 2nd semester… yes I know it’s a bit early but they made us to!

I then had a CS tutorial like every Thursday. It actually gets quite interesting as we write more advanced programs and actually learn something which can be traslated to fun after all!

Oh, it also had some sunshine, pretty exciting for Manchester. Well, I used my bike too as it wasn’t very windy and went back home later. I studied to prepare for the next day and had some fun playing LAN games with others in the hall.

Thats all for me. Next time make it a weekend so I have more interesting things to write!

    Summer will be great.
    Later.

    Hello there

I woke up after 9 and went for the daily applied and discreet mathematics lectures. We start with cryptography and at the applied lecture did more vector calculus.

I went back at the apartment and then had some food at the hall restaurant. After that, went straight to the library to study and do the exercises I had for Friday as I have to complete them until the day before.

After 4 hours at about 6:30pm I returned home and checked the news on several sites (yes, including slashdot!).

    Sure summer will be great!

and jim you should visit the castle yourself some time in the near future (that is before I leave) :)
